Measurement management · ISO 10012

A measurement management system (MMS, SGM in Spanish) brings together measurement processes and resources. cloudLOGGER centralizes certificates, calibrations, events and metrological confirmations as documentary support. Current reference: ISO 10012:2026 — Quality management — Requirements for measurement management systems. Conformity requires assessment of organizational processes and evidence.

What is a measurement management system (MMS)?

An MMS organizes an organization’s measurement processes and resources. Technical teams need to connect instruments with certificates, calibrations, confirmations and events throughout use. The cloudLOGGER module centralizes these records and connects them to asset management, supporting document review and follow-up. SGM is the Spanish abbreviation for the same management concept.

Measurement evidence linked to the asset

  1. Identify instruments and measurement processes.
  2. Organize available certificates and records.
  3. Document confirmations and metrological events.
  4. Review evidence and actions with MMS owners.

Prepare your integration

  • Measurement-equipment inventory.
  • Calibration certificates and records.
  • Metrological-confirmation criteria and owners.
  • Organizational procedures and evidence.

A workflow with context

Application example: locate an instrument’s certificate and connect it to calibration, installation and maintenance events. The catalogue describes these functions; it does not replace an MMS assessment.

Scope and validation

ISO 10012:2026 — Quality management — Requirements for measurement management systems is the current reference. Using the module does not certify an organization or prove automatic conformity with that edition; processes and evidence must be assessed.
